Simple Modern Energy was founded with a single goal: make energy independence accessible to every Utah homeowner. We combine solar installation with efficiency upgrades duct sealing, roofing, generators, and battery storage so you don't have to coordinate multiple contractors.
What Makes Us Different?
Most solar companies install panels and leave. We look at your whole home: your roof, your ducts, your usage patterns, your utility bill. Our in-house CPA team makes sure you get the full 30% federal tax credit from the Inflation Reduction Act something most installers leave on the table.

Erin Madsen
Erin Madsen is a seasoned professional with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing & Public Relations from Brigham Young University. After college, she dove into the sales & marketing world, accumulating over 20 years of experience in multiple industries. Having gained specific expertise in the residential solar industry, Erin is determined to revolutionize solar sales by infusing it with a professional touch. Renowned for her exceptional organizational prowess, sales-driven systems, and problem-solving skills, Erin is dedicated to empowering individuals to kickstart or elevate their own careers in solar energy. Her strong leadership abilities, coupled with a positive attitude, have made her a driving force behind Simple Modern Energy's success!
Monty Campbell
Monty leads sales strategy and program development at Simple Modern Energy, building the tools, training, and infrastructure that power the field team. He brings over a decade of solar industry experience, including scaling a sales organization from the ground up to 400+ active reps and 200+ installs a month. Monty specializes in turning operational complexity into systems reps actually use—from rep-facing training to AI-assisted sales tools. He lives in American Fork, Utah.
Bella
Bella brings creativity, dedication, and a collaborative mindset to the Simple Modern Energy team. As Marketing Manager, she enjoys finding fresh, outside-the-box ways to connect with homeowners and support the company's growth. Whether she's developing new campaigns, brainstorming ideas with the team, or refining the details behind the scenes, Bella is passionate about creating meaningful marketing that reflects the company's values.
Outside of work, Bella loves anything creative—from painting and drawing to tackling DIY projects. She enjoys spending time with her husband, AJ, and close friends, whether they're playing pickleball, bowling, or trying something new. A fan of Formula 1, Bella also enjoys learning new sports and has recently discovered a love for golf.
Her creativity, curiosity, and commitment to continuous learning make her an invaluable part of the Simple Modern Energy team.
Our Service Area
We're headquartered in Lehi, UT and serve the Salt Lake City metro area including Draper, South Jordan, West Jordan, Murray, Riverton, and Herriman. We also serve Pueblo, CO for commercial solar projects.
